Prior to attending massage school, I worked as a therapy technician at Spain Chiropractic Center in Pensacola, Florida, where I was trained in several procedures including trigger point therapy. This work environment sparked my motivation to pursue further study in natural healing methods. I was certified in the first level of Reiki in Pensacola in 1985, then moved to Tucson the following year to study massage therapy.
I received my 1000-hour massage training at Desert Institute of the Healing Arts (now Cortiva Institute) in Tucson and was certified in December 1987. I have supplemented my education with a variety of seminars over the years, and I specialize in intuitive and specific work combined with a deeply compassionate core. |
